First time comments from your IP address or email go directly to moderation. I'll get a notification and it can take up to a day for me to review and approve (longer during the holidays).

If you've commented before, I'm afraid you may have been caught by the blog's over-aggressive spam filter. This has happened to more than one of my friends and can be fixed by resubmitting your comment. I'll delete any double-posts if that's necessary, and I highly recommend getting this Firefox addon, as it allows you to recall forms and would let you easily recover a comment that didn't make it through (Firefox only).

You can also try creating a login to the blog to comment from, as I've never seen a comment fail while logged in. <3

Lastly, if your comment contained anything inappropriate or troll-ish, I may have removed it. This is a very rare occurance, so don't automatically assume that you did something wrong. 99% of the time, it's a tech issue.
